GOD IS MOST GLORIFIED IN US WHEN WE ARE MOST SATISFIED IN HIM
To be loved is to make much of, you feel loved when someone makes you feel significant or important which automatically enhance your self esteem and as well incidentally boost your ego. So the love of others towards you puts you at the centre
Biblically, the love of God towards us puts God at the centre in order to strip us of every other substitute that we may enjoy the fullness of Him in the awesomeness of His glory.
Full satisfaction is only in God and until you are completely satisfied in Him, the you can enjoy the fullness of His glory......

I put it forward to you today to check your desire of God if its appropriate enough and see if there is any sign of idolatry in you because this will prevent you from seen the Lord in the fullness of His glory.
Do you truly desire God or you only desire His gifts.
